Why we chose this journey

Come share a different kind of Alaska with us.

After our Windstar journey through Greece and Türkiye, we booked another small-ship adventure onboard—this time to Alaska. We’re taking the full cruise and Denali tour, and we’d love to have you join us.

This itinerary brings together two very different sides of Alaska: the wide-open landscapes of the interior and the glacier-carved coastline. Then there’s the ship itself: a small, welcoming yacht with modern suites, thoughtful service, and wonderful food.

Room to connect

A yacht with 224 guests

Enjoy a more personal atmosphere, familiar faces, and a ship small enough to make the scenery feel close. Spend your time taking in Alaska and getting to know the people sharing the journey.

An uncommon route

More time in the wild

Kenai Fjords, Endicott Arm, and Misty Fjords share the itinerary with Juneau, Haines, Wrangell, and Ketchikan. Scenic exploration is a central part of this ten-night sailing.

Your vacation, your way

Travel together, freely

Enjoy having us aboard, with the freedom to choose the excursions, meals, and quiet moments that suit you. Take the full land-and-sea journey or meet the ship in Seward.

Meet Star Seeker · A newer generation of Windstar

Excellent food belongs on the itinerary.

Windstar is the Official Cruise Line of the James Beard Foundation. At Amphora, menus feature dishes created by James Beard Foundation chefs, alongside international and regional flavors. Star Seeker also introduces Basil + Bamboo, adding another reason to look forward to dinner.

The James Beard Foundation partnership is part of Windstar’s culinary program; a visiting chef is not advertised for this sailing.

Start inland · June 3–7

Begin with the grandeur of Denali.

Before the first fjord comes Alaska’s interior: Fairbanks, Denali National Park, and Talkeetna.

Four nights on land give this journey a completely different beginning. Trade the coastline for mountain scenery, broad valleys, and the chance to look for Alaska’s land wildlife before heading to Seward to board Star Seeker.

We’re doing the full land portion ourselves. It’s a wonderful way to make the most of the trip and experience more of Alaska in one journey.

Park touring, wildlife sightings, mountain visibility, and the final land arrangements depend on operating conditions. Ask us for the current detailed land program.

Fairbanks

Begin the land portion in Alaska’s interior.

Fairbanks to Denali

Travel toward the landscapes of Denali.

Denali National Park

A day devoted to this extraordinary wilderness.

Talkeetna

Continue to Talkeetna before boarding in Seward on June 7.

Prefer to focus on the cruise?

Skip the Denali land portion and join Star Seeker in Seward on June 7 for the ten-night cruise to Vancouver. Your fare is reduced by $3,800 per person. Contact us to arrange the cruise-only booking and discuss getting to Seward.

The coastline is the main event

Three extraordinary fjord experiences.

Windstar’s small scale opens up scenic waters beyond the reach of larger cruise ships. This route gives Alaska’s fjords the time and attention they deserve.

June 8 · Kenai Fjords National Park

A wild beginning at sea

Glaciers, rugged cliffs, and rich marine habitat set the scene just after leaving Seward. Be out on deck with your binoculars as we explore one of Alaska’s great coastal landscapes.

June 12 · Endicott Arm

Into glacier country

Follow a dramatic glacier-carved waterway framed by steep mountains and waterfalls. Ice and conditions shape the day’s exploration and how close the ship can approach.

June 14 · Misty Fjords

Quiet water, towering walls

Forest, sheer granite cliffs, and waterfalls create a very different side of Alaska. Windstar’s small yacht lets us appreciate the scale and stillness of this remarkable setting.

Optional Signature Expeditions · Additional charge

Take the adventure down to water level.

Step from the yacht into a guided Zodiac cruise for an even closer perspective on Alaska’s wild coastline.

Windstar’s expedition guides bring the landscape to life as you explore the shoreline and watch for wildlife. These small-group outings are an exciting way to add another layer to our scenic fjord days.

Zodiac excursions cost extra and require separate booking. Windstar offers its Signature Expeditions in these fjord areas; the specific departures offered on our sailing will depend on the final excursion program, weather, ice, operating conditions, and availability.

We can help you review the options when released. Wildlife sightings and individual outings are not guaranteed.
